As we reflect on the upcoming 4th of July holiday, we express our appreciation for iconic art like Jasper Johns flag that’s been inspired by patriotism. We value inspiration, imagination, quality design, and we hold dearly the freedom our flag represents.

American artist Jasper Johns created an iconic flag painting after his time serving in the army. The selection of the United States flag allowed Johns to explore a familiar two-dimensional object. His take on this object, however, showcased complexity and a deep symbolic meaning. When studying this piece closely, you can see newspaper clippings underneath the painting. This is far from accidental, as Johns chose significant dates in American history.
